Mix Hitchcock, a juicy spy novel, and a dash of Monty Python, and you have a fast-paced whodunit packed with nonstop guffaws.
Brought to life by one lead hero (played by Louie P. Gallo) and a supporting cast of 3 (Ryan Bergman, Regan Plunkett, and Gabe Smith) who switch costumes, accents, and responsibilities to play all the other parts, "The 39 Steps" leads audiences through a tangled web of spies and average people caught in their crossfire, an onstage plane crash, handcuffs, missing fingers, a chase on a moving train, and even some good old-fashioned romance!
Written by Patrick Barlow, adapted from the novel by John Buchan, "The 39 Steps" is directed by Sean Dyess, with assistance from Jessica Jolly.
"The 39 Steps" is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. This production is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
