ABOUT ABOUT

Join us for this summer's "Project P.L.A.Y." at SCT!

For several weeks in June, local youngsters have been coming together with program director MJ Etua to create their own original short plays from the ground up. Kids are acting for the first time, writing short plays for the first time, tackling tech duties for the first time, and even directing for the first time.

A month of fun, learning, and kid-fueled energy culminates in four public performances where our young artists share their creativity with YOU and show off some of the cooperation skills, self-confidence, individuality, and innovative problem-solving they've learned by working together.

Sponsored by Starkville Pediatric Clinic, "Project P.L.A.Y." will perform:

- Wednesday, June 26 at 7pm

- Thursday, June 27 at 7pm

- Friday, June 28 at 7pm

- Saturday, June 29 at 1pm

Individual tickets are $7 for adults (18 and over) and $5 for anyone 17 and under. Tickets are available here online or through our box office line at 662.323.6855. Tickets will also be available at the door. Seating is not pre-assigned for this production and will be first-come-first-seated on the date of the show, with auditorium doors opening no later than 15 minutes before showtime.

For anyone who could use a ticket to each date of the show, we offer a multi-day pass for $20. This pass allows for four total admissions to the show - one per show date. Though the pass can only be used once per day, it could be used by multiple people if, for instance, one came on Thursday and another on Friday. That can pass can be purchased through the physical box office or here online.

We can't wait for our young superstars to hear the support of a crowd seeing something they created, and we'd love for you to be there! Your ticket purchases and donations help support this decades-strong and always-free-for-participants program.

Like all programming in our 2023-2024 year, this production is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
