Join Starkville Community Theatre for five performances of fierce, funny, heartwarming comedy in "The Legend of Georgia McBride".
"The Legend of Georgia McBride" by Matthew Lopez centers on Casey, a young, broke would-be-songwriter in small-town Florida, who finds out his wife is pregnant just as he loses his job as an Elvis impersonator at the local bar. When the club-owner brings in a B-level drag show to boost attendance, Casey, desperate for cash, gets an unexpected shot at stardom - and if he truly wants to man up for his wife and child, he'd better learn how to walk comfortably in high heels.

At the 7:30 p.m. performance on Wednesday, May 18, all audience members in attendance will need to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination (with their vaccination card or a digital record of their vaccination, such as a photo of their card) at the box office counter before admittance. Masking is optional at this performance and all other performances of this show.
On this show date, there will be no exceptions at the door - if we don't see your card or a digital record of your vaccination, you will not be able to attend the show that night. This is the only performance with this added requirement, and masking is not required at any show dates of "The Legend of Georgia McBride".
