For three performances only, Starkville Community Theatre is going “Back to the Beginning,” back 23 years with five of the original cast members from its first summer musical revue.
MJ Etua, Madeline Golden, Brian Hawkins, Kris Lee and Lyle Tate will reunite for an evening of reminiscing, music and fun, directed by Pattye Archer.
Accompanied by Jennifer Davis, Director of Choral Activities at Starkville High School, the performers will sing some of their favorites, including songs from that first summer show. Styled as a true cabaret, the show will feature just the keyboard and the singers, entertaining you with an intimate evening of standard classics and musical theatre numbers. The show will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission.
Two performance dates will be onstage at the Playhouse on Main - Thursday, July 28 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 30 at 7 p.m.. Admission will be $20.

For the third performance, SCT is trying something a little different, in partnership with one of its downtown neighbors.
On Friday, July 29, there will be dinner and a show a block down Main Street at Magnolia Social (inside Hotel Chester). At this performance, which is limited to only 60 seats, a $50 ticket gets you the show, plus a delicious entree and salad from our hosts at the venue.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for drinks from the bar, with 6:30 p.m. dinner seating, and the show starting at 7. Tickets for this date are ONLY available by stopping by our box office or by calling 662.323.6855.
